Why is waiting on God so difficult?

Waiting on God is not just difficult; sometimes it seems impossible. We want things to happen on our own schedule, according to our plans. However, God does not work on our schedules, and expecting Him to do so is when disappointments come. God has a greater perspective on life's events, and His perspective, plans, and schedules are perfect and holy, because He is perfect and holy. The psalmist tells us that "God's way is perfect" (Psalm 18:30).
